Leon Walker of Michigan has been charged with hacking into his WIFE'S e-mail in their home after suspecting that his wife was cheating on him. What he alleged discovered is that she was continuing a relationship with her former husband. Leon claims that he was hacking to protect his child from his wife's former husband, since they had a stormy and alleged violent relationship in the past.Intrusion in ones own computer in the home should put all residents of the home on notice that PRIVACY in the home ENDS before the wired or wireless communications system. When a wired telephone conversation is recorded in one's home, it may be illegal, depending on the State that you live in, some states, like Florida have a TWO PARTY requirement. That is that two people having a conversation on the telephone must both be aware that the conversation is being recorded. Other states require only one party authority.
Now comes the e-mail system..driven by technology, wired or wireless communications, whether telephone, I-Pad, IPhone, computer, laptop or any other cell phone communicator; hacking into one's techno communicator could bring you prison time. Invading one's communications system is a federal crime, mostly prosecuted by State jurisdictions,
Now comes Mr. Walker, trying to protect his son, determine the truth about his marriage, finds himself facing a possible 5 years in prison.
The e-mail system in your home is protected from intrusion by your spouse or others. Best way to avoid this problem is either have a protected password to access the e-mail OR, if you suspect infidelity, confront the problem and leave the ship... because trust is gone.
