After "FAST & FURIOUS" ATF GUN RUNNING TO MEXICAN DRUG CARTELS, now come members of the largest Police Department in the United States, NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT who are accused by the United States Attorney and the FBI of GUN RUNNING from New Jersey to NYC and selling guns to street level gangsters,.
5 current Police Officers, 2 retired police officers and 5 others, including a Corrections Officer have been caught in a FBI STING Operation..purchasing guns from FBI and NYPD Internal Affairs operatives, agents or informants. They were trying to traffic in automatic weapons, handguns, stolen cigarettes, and slot machines. How ingenious is this group? Did they catch the "Fast & Furious" headlines and think that there badge protects them, or was it an Organized Crime enterprise that they saw on the Soprano's.
It never surpises me that for a few dollars they jepordize family, friends, citizens and careers. Back in 1968, a Police Officer was accused of Murdering a Pimp and Hooker over a shakedown described his delemma, he titled his adventure as the "Meat Eaters vs. the Grass Eaters"...He was sentenced for life, he went off to prison for a few hundred bucks. What mental capacity they have to think that a few dollars makes a difference in there daily lives. Short sighted, short thinkers, criminal enterprises.
NYPD is facing another scandel about to break wide-open with a Ticket Fixing Scandal.... Numerous Police Officers and Supervisors are expected to be indicted in the coming weeks. This with a recent indictment of officers in a drug operation suggests that the NYPD is going through it's cycle of internal crime. This is common over a 20 year period...when the bubble bursts and supervision looses control.
Maybe it's time for change in management and even a Mayor who overstayed his welcome.
