SCHOOL SAFETY ARIZONA STYLE

Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Maricopa County, Arizona law enforcement fame has announced his position on how to protect School Children, Teachers and Administrators  during school hours. He claims to have been conducting this method for many years at times when certain schools in the Phoenix area have had violence in or near the school. 

After the Newtown, Connecticut school massacre Sheriff Joe has put in place "POSSES" who are ARMED and TRAINED by the Sheriff;s Office at each of the more than 200 schools in the Phoenix Arizona area. This "posse" consists of volunteer citizens. It was not clear if they are paid public servants or Deputized by the Sheriff to help chase down bad guys as they do in the "Ole WEST". 

This is not necessarily the solution to the existing problem facing all Americans, but it offers some temporary remedy to a better controlled school environment. I wonder if this will spread across America...

IF so; I envision a "NATIONAL SCHOOL POSSE" program instituted by some Organized Labor group the likes of the UFT or the SEIU..then a demand for equal pay and guaranteed dues check-off with a mandate of all Posse members being nationalized under a new entity which the government will create. This will become an added tax burden for school districts and Unionization and dues by the "National School Safety Officer's Association". Something similar to the TSA...but with "touchy, feely  groping searches of all who wish to enter the school grounds. This will include parents, children, staff, teachers, and other visitors. 

They'll keep the school safer from gun attacks, until one of the National School Safety members is caught groping a child in the hallway, men's room or even a closet. Then we'll hear that the Safety officer had NO HISTORY but we have suspended him/her "WITH PAY" pending investigation. 

This is somewhat like the NYC Board of Education "RUBBER ROOM" where teachers accused of misconduct, sometimes against children or even other teachers, linger for years on the payroll awaiting administrative judgement. They report each day to a classroom at the School Board's Offices and languish each day waiting thier turn. Some wait years before administration hearings are imposed and final decisions are rendered. During this period they are receiving benefits, salary and building to there pension. 

Welcome to the new American Order...Social Protection by Government. We must be ready for the government, the Congress and the President to impose such a solution to school violence.
