2011 already finds it's first law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty. Deputy Sheriff Suzanne Hopper was killed by a gunman as she responded to shots fired at an Ohio campground In addition another officer was seriously wounded in the gunbattle that ensued.Deputy Hopper should always be remembered for her courage, professional response and dedication to the protection of the community she served.
We all need to remember that our law enforcement officers across America face this threat every minute of the day, on and off duty. While others would run from such crazy events, law enforcement runs to the problem. Their bravery and dedication is an honor to all who serve.
May we all remember Deputy Hopper and take a moment in your day to say a prayer for her and her family and all the officers that protect Americans everyday.
This is not just an American problem, the world is full of violence and often on the front line against such violence are the police who are first responders.
Remember 9/11 hundreds of police and fire officers were killed responding to the attack.
NEVER FORGET lx-xl and the first responders.
