CORRUPT JUDGE CONVICTED IN KICKBACK SCHEME

Pennsylvania: 

 JUDGE Mark Ciavarella, of Luzerne County was found guilty in Federal Court for Racketeering in a KICKBACK SCHEME between the judge and a private juvenile detention facility. He and Michael Conahan were accused of using kids as an instrument to become rich.  Judge Ciavarella was convicted of taking more than $2 million in kickback from the builder of a "FOR-PROFIT" juvenile lockup facility. 

The judge received money for each "KID" he sent to the lock-up from the builder and company. As a result, the Supreme Court of the State of Pennsylvania dismissed more than 4000 cases against accused children who appeared before the judge. Both judges were accused of accepting more than $2 million in cash from PA Child Care and Western PA Child Care.

The Judge was found guilty of racketeering, money laundering and other charges. He faces 12 years in prison upon sentencing. The judge often ordered juveniles to be immediately handcuffed and taken off to prison without a good-bye to parents present in the courtroom. Even a child as young as 10 years old was sent away.

The Judge after conviction denies that he is guilty of any of the kickback scheme. He was allowed to be free on bail pending sentencing. 

Sandy Fonzo,a mother of one of the kids that the judge sent away to lock-up confronted the judge outside the court house, accusing him of the cause for her son's suicide. He son was sent to the lock-up after the judge found him guilty of possession of a drug paraphernalia. . Hardly any judge would send a kid to jail for a first time offense. She was irate and accused the judge of the cause of her son's death. She screamed that he "ruined her life" and "should rot in jail".

Their is a pending law suit by several parents against the Judge for wrongful death and criminal sanctions in the State of Pennsylvania.

Where else is this happening?  Who is selling justice? At what expense to others? How many lives did Judge Ciavarella ruin, destroy and send to their graves?
