Now comes an official audit which discovered that the Cyber Investigations Unit has a significant number of investigators who lack the "Networking of Counterintelligence" & agents who investigate "National Security Intrusions" that lack expertise, as stated by the Justice Department's Inspector General report.
The report concludes that the FBI practice of rotating agents amongst different offices, which promotes a series of different work experience, impacts the development of Cyber Investigative experts. The report, after interviews of several agents in different offices concludes the need for a CYBER SECURITY WORKFORCE dedicated to National Counterintelligence and Intrusion security.
INTRUSION |
It is suggested that better cooperation and information sharing by the FBI with other law enforcement agencies which make-up the NATIONAL CYBER INVESTIGATIVE JOINT TASK FORCE could improve the government's ability to fight CYBER INTRUSIONS and CYBER TERROR INTRUSIONS. The report was released by acting Inspector General Cynthia Schnedar.
If we count on another JOINT TASK FORCE as what has been in place for years with the creation of the Drug Enforcement Joint Task Force, yet the drug problem not only continues, but has grown by a multiplier of more than 10X since the creation of the Joint Task Force. Will we see this in the CYBER TASK FORCE as well.
Why not a dedicated Agency to provide the security and investigative authority in the canyons of CYBER space. It will only take a movement of budget from some agencies to an enforcement Task Force for Cyber Crimes and Intelligence Intrusion. It's called for in our wired business, government and total society.
Let's find the expert in Cyber Intrusion and develop a strategy to protect, defend and prosecute CYBER CRIMINALS.
WHAT DO YOU THINK !!!
