TRIBUTE TO NYPD OFFICER KILLED IN LINE OF DUTY

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TAKES ANOTHER POLICE OFFICERS LIFE:

NYPD Police Officer Alain Schaberger, a 11 year veteran, was KILLED in the line of DUTY during his response to a "DOMESTIC VIOLENCE" call for assistance. A tragedy to the people of New York City and especially to the officers family, fiance and her children. The question is not how he died, it needs to be WHY HE DIED?

The killer George Villanueva, a known violent offender, with 28 prior criminal convictions dating back many years threatened to kill this women who called 911 at 4:22 am Saturday morning. Officer Schaberger responded with two other officers. By the time officers had responded, Villanueva had fled to his fathers house. The police responded there and while bringing him out to the front stoop, he began a struggle and allegedly shoved Officer Scharberger over a railing. While other police struggled with the suspect, Officer Scharberger was rushed to the local hospital where he died from serious head injuries as a result of the fall.

NO, IT WASN'T A GUN OR KNIFE, it was   DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. 

Officer Scharberger was a great officer with a great future. He looked forward to his upcoming marriage and having her children that he loved so dearly be part of his life. He goes in honor and in peace. Policing is the job he was dedicated too and he died protecting and serving the people of New York and America. Vietnamese born, Officer was proud to be a NY City Police Officer and American Citizen.

Every officer across America knows that Domestic Violence calls, very common, are the ones that are most dangerous. Officers just don't know what to expect when they arrive and the violence that they encounter. But this situation was not necessary. A 28 time convicted criminal should NOT be on the streets. This is what all Americans face everyday.We all know that someday, a majority of the offenders that are in prison will be released to the streets to prey on a new victim. Many will disappear from view until their next encounter with the law, their next crime or violent act against innocent others. 

It's up to the citizens to impose and demand that our State Officials, Senators, Governors and Congressmen and women take Officer Scharberger's death as a message that JUSTICE MUST PREVAIL and REPEAT OFFENDERS MONITORED electronically for all the days that they are free. It's time to act on  behalf of Officer Alain Schaberger's name, let's honor him by straightening our Criminal Code and Procedural Codes.
