Superbowl Sunday is a day to party, cheer your favorite team and celebrate. It's not a one day event, but rather a several month long planning and money-making venture. The NFL knows it. It's a business! But they are not the only entrepreneurs benefiting. Consider the following;
- The players are paid millions to play a game. Good for them and families. They get extra and special consideration if their team makes it to the Superbowl. The RING of Champions is just one. Nights before the Superbowl they are out celebrating, partying and marketing. Good for them! They are Americans Gladiators, too some. Night Clubs, Strip Clubs and Hotels make a killing across America. Superbowl parties, celebrity participation, special celebrity entertainment and participation.
- The week before the Superbowl Sunday, the city where it is being played experiences a sudden growth in sales, income and temporary employees. This is planned moths in advance, orders for additional products are often planned and purchase two to three months in advance. This then brings an increase in employment for certain industries. More employees for licensed vendors, hotel workers, cooks, servers, restaurant employees, ticket sales. nightclubs, and local bars, to name a few. Consider that delivery of the products will require additional employees, transportation and even storage and warehouse facilities.
- Millions are spent on the pre-Superbowl festivities. Millions in profits will go to many. Taxes will be collected from most, others, the cash vendors will cheat.
Now the other side of the Superbowl economy!
Counterfieting Products...every year the NFL and it's agents spend months investigating Counterfiet NFL product manufacturing and distribution. This year is no different. Thursday and Friday before the Superbowl Weekend, the NFL Investigators, some employees of the NFL other Contractors along with hired U.S. Marshals and attorneys raid warehouses, retail storefronts and residences of the Criminal Distributors of KNOCKOFF GOODS that look like NFL products, but a counterfeit replicas. The money received from this counterfeiting for a one month period prior to the Superbowl generate more than 5 million in cash, that goes unreported to the taxman. whether it's football Jerseys, footballs, t-shirts etc. they are produced in warehouse environments across America. These lookalikes cannot be detected by the untrained eye. Yet, thousands are sold every year by the counterfeiters. Their army of distributors are not only legitimate storefronts, but street, sidewalk vendors. This is a well organized system, with many of the street vendors who travel form event to event, concert tour to concert tour selling the products. They know the risk....it's minimum... some pay fines, most get their products seized, some are jailed then released...but the cash keeps coming in.....Seizures are usually with a Federal Court Order, issued by a Federal Judge, usually in a Civil Action. However, some arrest warrants are issued for those who are habitual vendors, distributors and repeat offenders.... In reality, the NFL tries to stop the counterfieting of NFL looking products. It is estimated that for every T-Shirt or Football Jersey seized from the Counterfieters, 3 legitimate shirts are sold. That's big bucks. Millions !!!
GAMBLERS & BOOKMAKERS
Traditional Organized Crime families throughout the world make billions from sporting events. It's estimated that the Superbowl Sunday will have generated more than 1 billion dollars in illegal gambling profits. The old way was to call your bookie...today, it's not only the local bookie, but the sports desk "off-shore" at Internet gambling venues. Bets and collections are now part of the charge cards of banks, credit card companies, private credit card companies. The bookies collect, before or after,,, they know where you are, who you are and how to contact you, at home, at business or even in your car. For those who have trouble paying, they workout payouts...if that can't be done, they refer you to a loan shark in you community..the "vig" (interest) is often higher than any bank you could borrow from. Some degenerate gamblers use their homes as collateral, others put up the wife's engagement ring, some women put up their bodies....that's gambling on the street.- The Vegas Gaming Sports Book, legitimized by statute in Nevada, controlled by the Nevada Gaming Commission, finds billions during the sports book seasons. Whether its the Superbowl, Horse racing, Baseball. Hockey or just the weekend Football game, the sports book desk is always busy. Cash flow from established accounts held by the Casino's, or a local bookmaker working the Vegas area. Winners or loser's, all get paid or pay-up. The credit card industry makes a killing on the Sports book desks. The hotels profit and the State of Nevada benefits.

HOOKERS - PIMPS and the SEX INDUSTRY
Often a traveling prostitution business, the glorified Sex Industry brings the action to the potential clients. Hookers (prostitutes) Call Girls, Out Calls, In-Calls and even Hotel Call Girl operations are all part of high profile events throughout the United States. The Superbowl brings in large groups of hookers, with or without pimps to make the cash from the thousands that have come to town. It not unusual for hookers and pimps to show up at large gatherings. It's no only the sporting events, but large business conventions, hot parties and entertainment venues attack the traveling hooker teams. Pimps get more than 50% of the hookers fees, while independent hookers spread the cost of the business with the risk of arrest, bail, cash bonds, housing, food and networking. In Vegas, a primary newspapers at all paper machines near the airports advertise potential "dates" for corporate events, "services" for corporate parties and "companions" for your visit to Vegas. Millions are generated from prostitution yearly. While you may see on T.V. street walker hookers, mostly young and dirty, junkies, the classy gals maintain a low profile, advertise, are out-calls and some are in-calls. Corporate marketing is common, yet disapproved and disavowed by the corporations, yet they must keep their clients satisfied. Sometimes it's done for extortion, blackmail or even to guarantee contracts on behalf of some companies. It's a "wink, wink" by all.
