ARREST of TJ SHOOTER / KILLER of THREE STUDENTS |
Ohio Shooting Victims All DECEASED May They Rest In Peace And Always be Remembered |
Again we are shocked that another school shooting has taken place in America. This time it's Ohio. This is not a gun problem, but rather a HUMAN problem. The issue is not the SHOOTER, he needs help, no one answered. He was often having problems, mental, family and friends. He's alone in his world. No where to turn and his demons took over. No excuse for his horrendous behavior,,,
But, let's look at the issues of him and others who have done the same. We know that they are often LONERS, ISOLATED by family and friends. Angry in their social postings, talk of violence, text messaging angry and violent, dress and behavior outside mainstream. Those who knew the Ohio shooter knew of his problems.
The Police Respond well, the teachers and administrators were trained and prepared, BUT, why the occurrence. Students knew he was an outsider, weird, angry and with issues. From a family of violence, and family with many issues, segregated from the regular high school, outsider in a special school for kids in need of supervision...Why he was in the cafeteria ready to cause harm and destruction, he broadcast this over the web..his rantings were violent, suspect of future trouble...why weren't officials aware...Is it again a MISSED STEP another who fell through the cracks...
Is this an excuse to many, a rationalization of the missed steps of acknowledgement that in fact the information was not being gathered, analyzed, by school officials, or even the police...How many police calls to the shooters home, the violence in the home, now a grandfather devastated, with the families that lost 3 children for no other reason than the line of criminal insanity or just living in a fantasy world. Who was there to analyze, NO ONE....
Maybe the future from this tragedy will result in the gathering of information. The police world call it intelligence. Gathered, analyzed and confronted by a team of professionals, not just the police. Physcotherapy, Mental Health Consultants, Teachers trained to identify potential threats.
We don';t need sympathy for the School District's, only for the families of the victims and even the family of the shooter.
No longer can we afford to have our head in the sand...The Ostrich is out of the sand..We definitely need a plan, training, and analysis. Don't call it infringement on the rights to privacy, when indicators suggest the Predictability that an incident of such magnitude will occur.
WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?
ACT NOW !
