Listening to Fox News, CNN or even MSNBC one would think that England holds the market on street violence. The rebellious student confrontation with British Police in the streets is clearly a declaration of dissatisfaction with the new government rules on cost of education. It festers more in the changing attitude of a world economy that has nothing to offer youth trying to grow into a productive society.
Assure, their are agitators with agendas that are anti-government, but many are students that lack an identity to reach their educational and professional goals. A Socialistic society often finds itself on the narrow tightrope between the elite governance separated from the wants and demands of the lower classes.
Like Great Britain, America is on the verge of such a swing. During the 1960's the student demonstrations against the Vietnam War started in the Colleges, then spread across American communities. It was not just an Anti-War movement, it was dissatisfaction with the ruling class, the government elite.
Today, while the President of the United States speaks with a balance of both sides of his mouth, when he walks away from an important press conference to leave a former president to continue, the people are turning away from the government elite and begining to see that the politico's are nothing more than talking heads with double standards.
Congress benefits from perks that no other worker has. Lifetime pensions just after one year of service, medical benefits which are excluded from the Health Plan and even tax cheats who are government officials, elected or appointed, with little repercussion, like Rep. Rangle who received Sanctions, rather than expulsion or even criminal charges for what Wesley Snipes same mistakes. Snipes has been sentenced to three years in the federal pen, Rangel has been placed on what one could describe as Congressional probation. Where is justice here!

Nothing on national news about the kid down the street playing on her front lawn, shot to death by a gang drive-by. This is an everyday occurrence throughout America. Violence in the inner cities, the suburban communities and even in rural America is reaching an all time high. While the Justice Department reports that violent crimes are down in numbers, fear and community loses are adding up.
Gang Warfare, control for Drug Distribution, kidnappings, assaults and murder is a way of life in many communities. These are communities that want to be safe but are being victimized by gangs and criminal thugs.
It's time for America to wake up. The street violence you've seen this week in England is already here...just not so public because America's elite have not been seen as the victim. On;y when a Medoff deceives and steals millions from the elite does that interest the talking heads. But, human trafficking, drug deaths, overdoses are treated as just another death, when in fact it should be considered a homicide by the drug dealer that distributed and sold the drug, these go unpunished.
College from an Ivy League University like Columbia University receive Front Page headlines, top story of the day across the media news rooms, yet little Mary, a 12 year old playing in front of her house is murdered by a gun toting, thug...that story receives little national attention, just a day or two of local news. Sometime just a blurb other a one liner on the third page.
If you think that the people's rebellion hasn't started, it's been ongoing for years with little disruption. Why? The answer is simple! NOT IN MY BACK YARD! YET!!!
